Type of data processed and purpose of processing

  1. Browsing and device data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this Site acquire, during normal operation, some information of a technical nature, including: the IP address; the domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the Site; the identifier, brand, model and other parameters relating to the operating system of the device; the code indicating the response status given by the server; the type of browser; the identifier of the single session with time indications of the start and end of the browsing session; any identifier of the account and of the activities carried out on the Site. The information acquired is masked by Telecom Italia Sparkle and processed by third parties.

This information is used to check the correct functioning of the Site, for statistical purposes and, with prior consent, for profiling purposes (if applicable). The information itself is retained for a period of time not exceeding the achievement of the purposes for which it is collected or subsequently processed, as well as for the period required by law for administrative purposes, management of any complaints/disputes, for any investigations of computer crimes against the Site or criminal proceedings.

Furthermore, in the event of access to the Authenticated Area of the Site, Telecom Italia Sparkle S.p.A. will retain the user's personal data for the same purposes and timeframes, including those relating to the logs tracking access and activities carried out in the Authenticated Area of the Site.

No data deriving from the web service is disclosed.

  1. Cookie

2.1 General information on cookies

Cookies are small text files (files) that the sites visited by users send to their devices (usually browsers or smartphones), where they are stored before being retransmitted to the same sites each time, they are visited using the same device. Furthermore, each site may allow the transmission of so-called "third party" cookies, i.e., those generated by sites other than the one the user is visiting (via objects present on the same such as banners, images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains).

Depending on their duration, cookies are divided into technical session cookies (i.e., cookies that are temporary and are automatically deleted from the device at the end of the browsing session when the browser is closed) and persistent technical cookies (i.e., cookies that remain stored on the device until they expire or are deleted by the user).

Cookies also have different purposes. They are mainly used to carry out the transmission of a communication or to provide the service requested by the user. In particular, functional cookies allow and optimize the functioning of the website, perform computer authentication and prevent abuse, monitor sessions, improve the user's browsing experience, for example by maintaining the connection to reserved areas while browsing between the pages of the site without having to repeat it - enter User ID and password and store specific information about the users themselves (including preferences, type of browser and computer used). Functional cookies can also be used (anonymously, if third-party) to perform aggregate analyses on the functioning of the site, on the number of users and on how they visit the site.

For the use of the aforementioned technical cookies (session or navigation or functionality) , the user's consent is not required, since without them some of the operations indicated above could not be performed or would be more complex and/or less secure.

Otherwise, if cookies are used for further purposes, typically for (i) behaviour analysis , possibly also through tracking the authenticated user through the use of different devices, and sending personalised promotional-advertising messages (so-called "profiling" cookies) and/or (ii) obtaining statistics in aggregate form on the number of users and how they visit the site (so-called " analytics cookies"), the user's consent is required (unless the analytics cookies provided by third parties have been anonymised). In fact, before these types of cookies are sent to the device, in accordance with current legislation, when accessing the home page or another page of the site, a banner is immediately displayed in the foreground with an initial summary of the use of cookies and the request for consent, which the user can provide (by clicking on the "accept" button) or refuse (for example by clicking on the "X" or the "Continue without accepting" button located at the bottom left of the web page). Alternatively, the user can click on the preferences management panel (also called CMP - Cookie- Consent Management Platform) to specifically set the consents based on the desired cookies.

In any case, cookies can only be read or modified by the website that generated them; they cannot be used to retrieve any data from the user's device and cannot transmit computer viruses. Some of the functions of cookies can also be performed by other technologies; therefore, in the context of this web privacy policy, the term "cookie" refers to cookies and all similar technologies.

2.2 Use of cookies on this Site

This Site may use technical session cookies, persistent technical cookies, and “targeting” profiling cookies and “performance” profiling cookies:

The types of first-party technical cookies generated and transmitted by this Site are:

  • "Technical" cookies , used for: a ) authentication and management of a browsing session (for example, to identify and validate the user for access to Reserved Areas; b) security purposes (e.g. to keep track of the number of failed logins, identifying possible abuses in authentication and preventing fraud); c) customization of the user interface (e.g. to record the preferences expressed by the user such as language, currency, page display format, connection area); d) better usability of the site and its audiovisual contents ; f ) the correct functioning of the connection (e.g. by appropriately directing user requests between multiple servers).

The types of third-party profiling cookies transmitted by this Site are:

  • “Targeting” cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

  • “Performance” cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.

Before sending these cookies to the terminal and, therefore, before starting to process the data for these purposes, Telecom Italia Sparkle S.p.a. collects the user/visitor's consent through the following methods: clicking on the "accept" button inside the banner containing the first summary information or the personalized management of cookie consents through the dedicated management panel, reachable inside the banner. If the "Continue without accepting" button located at the bottom left of the web page is clicked, the user/visitor will deny consent to all the cookies indicated. Consent is tracked by sending a specific technical cookie to the browser, which guarantees the integrity of the user's choices and traceability to this Site. Telecom Italia Sparkle S.p.a. may entrust the installation and management of third- party cookies, for which consent is required, to technical suppliers (appointed by Telecom Italia Sparkle Spa as Data Processors). The user/visitor can oppose such processing, in addition to clicking the "Continue without accepting" button located at the bottom left of the web page, by accessing the preferences management panel via the link available in the footer of each page of the Site domain or by deleting cookies on their browser/terminal, as indicated in detail in the following paragraph.

Unless consent is revoked, the user/visitor may receive promotional messages/content based on his/her interests until the profiling cookies expire. Telecom Italia Sparkle Spa profiling cookies will be stored on the device for 12 months from the last browsing event of the user/visitor on this Site; subsequently they will be automatically deleted from the device.

For these cookies, you can consult the information and manage the consents of third parties by accessing the preferences management panel.

2.3. Cookie coding criteria and storage times

The semantic coding criteria and the storage times possibly envisaged for each cookie can be consulted in the specific panel for managing cookie settings and the relative consent. Cookies can be managed by the user through their browser or from this Site. For the List of Cookies, the relative retention times Click here

2.4 Managing cookie preferences

Cookies can be managed by the user through their browser or from this Site.

  1. A) Browser settings

The user/visitor can manage cookie preferences through the functions present in common browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari), which allow you to delete/remove cookies (all or some) or to change the settings of the browser itself in order to block the sending of cookies or limit it to specific sites (rather than others). It is possible to find out how to configure the browser settings (usually accessible from the 'Tools' bar) by going to the 'Support' web pages of the suppliers of these browsers (also found using a common search engine).

Disabling cookies does not in itself preclude the use of the services of the Site; however, by deleting/blocking all cookies, including technical ones, some operations cannot be performed or will be more complex and/or less secure, such as, for example, carrying out activities within the Reserved Areas of the site (cookies in fact allow the identification of the user to be carried out and maintained during the session).

  1. B) Management of consent to cookies on this Site

The user may express his/her choices in relation to the cookies sent by this Site through the preferences management panel accessible from the banner, from the link in the footer of each page of the domain of this Site (Cookie Preferences) in order to:

  • revoke all or some consents already given. In this case, the Site will update the previously installed cookie certifying the consent so that the user, based on the choices made, is no longer processed by Telecom Italia Sparkle SpA when browsing this Site. This option does not delete cookies already stored on the device (technical cookies remain active, while third-party cookies are “blocked” until they expire), but prevents the storage of further profiling cookies.
  • deny consent to profiling cookies (for example, the user/visitor, on the first visit to this Site, clicks directly on the "Continue without accepting" button located at bottom left of the web page or accesses the dedicated management panel, denying consent to all cookies). In this case, the Site sends a specific denial cookie to the user's device, which guarantees the integrity of the user's choices and traceability to this Site. Depending on the choices made, this Site does not install profiling cookies on the device and therefore the user will not be profiled by Telecom Italia Sparkle Spa and/or third parties while browsing this Site.
